Jamba Juice

Wandering around Magnificent Mile, I needed a refreshing drink. I saw a cool below-street-level plaza with some jazz musicians and a Jamba Juice. Good ol' Jamba - the perfect place for a fresh, refreshing smoothie.

I walked inside, looked over the menu briefly, and ordered a Razzmatazz. I had my camera out and was asked by an employee behind the counter not to take a picture due to corporate policy. It was cool, but it's strange how these companies have pictures of their locations so easily accessible on the internet, but they won't allow customers to take their own shots... Anywho, a few minutes later, my smoothie was ready. I took a sip, paused, and seated myself outside to enjoy some summer jazz.

I asked for a small Razzmatazz, but at $3.75 and only 16oz, I felt a bit ripped off. I remember when the "original" size, 24oz, cost $3.25. I know times have changed and yada yada yada, but I feel that $3.75 for a small is pushing it. Furthermore, the Razzmatazz was not as good as I had remembered it. Usually it is a "tart twist" of flavors, but mine was very sweet and it seemed as though the ingredients had blended to make something that tasted kind of like an artificial purple sherbet smoothie. It was still refreshing, but not quite what it once was...

Kind of pricey, refreshing smoothies served up in a clean spot with weird 80's techno remix music. Decent value @ $4.55 per original-sized classic smoothie. High carb count due to high amount of sugar, but lots of good vitamins and natural flavors. Definitely a solid fruit smoothie chain, though I think once they added all the new food items to their menu in June, the smoothie quality dipped. Back or Forth? I will be going back.
